Happy National Peanut Butter Day everyone! Oh boy, do I have a treat for you guys. This recipe was carefully crafted over the past 2 weeks until I found the perfect combination and ratio of ingredients. I call it Cheesy Bacon Oatmeal but it’s so much more than that. Not only do I add peanut butter, but spicy peanuts and a splash of buffalo wing sauce too. This recipe is like going to the diner for breakfast, taking your plate and your significant-others’ plate and mashing them together in a bowl. Delicious and quite healthy too, depending on the ingredients you use. I use a thick-sliced smoked turkey bacon and Alpine Lace American cheese.
Print
1/3 cup oats
1/2 cup milk
2 slices chopped bacon or turkey bacon, uncooked
2 Tbsp shredded Cheddar cheese or 1 slice American cheese
2 Tbsp spicy peanuts
1 Tbsp creamy peanut butter
1 tsp buffalo hot wing sauce
pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
Directions:
Combine the oats, milk, bacon and peanuts in a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 3-5 minutes, or until the oatmeal almost boils over. Stir in the peanut butter and the remaining ingredients. Enjoy the heck out of it!

You sure about this one, PBB? These are words that I never thought I’d see together in a sentence much less a recipe. HAHA!!
Haha yes, I’m sure! Judging by the (lack of) responses, apparently the world wasn’t ready for it yet. I’ll save it for the future, when people are more daring =)
I’m going to try it. Sounds so good!
