Hear ye! Hear ye! The Peanut Butter Exhibition is back in town! Please welcome the co-hosts and judges Foodaphilia, Just Call Me Marta, and Appoggiatura. We are proud to bring the latest and greatest peanut butter competition right to your doorstep. Entering is a fun and delicious endeavor, and the winner gets a prize!
The Peanut Butter Boy is getting old. Precisely 1 month from today I will be a quarter-century old. And with July 4th right around the corner, it’s the perfect time for a summer celebration, and there’s only one way to do so: with peanut butter! Therefore, the theme for this round of the Peanut Butter Exhibition is Celebration – any recipe fit for a celebration using peanut butter. This is a wide open theme so get creative, a lot of emphasis this round will be the presentation. Some examples might be some decorative cupcakes, a layered pudding casserole or the gaudy but delicious raspberry brownie. So what are you going to bring to the celebration? To enter, submit your best peanut butter (or other nut butter) recipe following the guidelines below. The deadline is August 2nd @ Noon (EST) which gives you a full 4 weeks to brainstorm, develop and create a peanut butter sensation! Stock up on peanut butter and get ready.
Judging Criteria:
Peanut Butter Weight, Creativity, Presentation and Preparation Time.
Rules:
Post and submit your “Celebratory” recipe by the deadline – one entry per person so choose wisely. Pictures are highly recommended but not required. You may use any nut butter instead of peanut butter since nut butters are easily interchangeable. Please link to this page from the posted recipe to indicate that you are entering this contest. Feel free to use any of the logos, including the following, to link back:
Blogless? Don’t worry if you don’t have a blog, you can still submit your award-winning recipe. Fill out the same form but leave the “Recipe Permalink” field blank and feel free to attach a picture to go along with the recipe!
Submission:
Click here to submit your recipe online. Alternatively, email “pbe@peanutbutterboy.com” with “PBE #7” as the subject and the following information:
Name
Email
Recipe Title
Recipe or Recipe Permalink
Prize:
All recipes will be displayed but the judges will vote for the Top 3. All 3 winners receive a badge to place on their site. This round, the first place winner will receive a jar of Cocoabanana peanut butter from PB Loco. Good luck!

This is a great idea! Mmmm celebratory peanut butter.
I know the deadline is over a month away but I’m already racking my brain trying to come up with a recipe! Hopefully I’ll think of something sooner rather than later or else I’m not going to get a night’s sleep in July haha
Haha, I can’t wait to see the results!
Awesome idea.
Could you answer what might be an obvious question- is ease of prep valued MORE in choosing a winner or LESS? it might seem that the easiest recipe to throw together would be the best (for some)! just curious.
Off to brainstorm… ;p
For the “preparation time” criteria, a LOWER prep time is desired and therefore gets more points! Nothing wrong with complex recipes of course but all else equal, I’d rather be eating it sooner!
I just passed you a couple of weeks ago. I’m now a quarter century + one. It does feel old. I made a GIANT chocolate cake to celebrate. Now I’ll start thinking peanut butter. Mmmmm
Ah, yes it does. I’m hoping we find the elixir for eternal life in the next few years, I wouldn’t mind staying at this age forever. And think of all the peanut butter I could consume!
Done and Done!
Can’t wait for the peanut butter yumminess to start flowing!
Excellent tasty-sweet contest…I’ll put it in my event section in my next “events” post!
Happy 4th July :)
Cheers!
Gera
Great, thanks! Have a good one!
Did you like my fudge? And I know the deadline is August 2nd, but when will we find out the results? =)
Well, it’ll probably take just over a week for the judges and I to choose a winner and for me to organize and post the results. Maybe by August 10th/12th? And yes – I want that fudge now!
well i did make a kick ass choc pb cake recently, but it wasn’t my recipe… will have to see what else i can come up with :)
Get crackin!
