I love making things. It began with a deluxe cat tower with cat wash, then a dining room table with matching bench, a baby, weathered crate shelving, simple crate shelves for the baby room, and now I’m refinishing a coffee table. But one of my favorite new projects is a pegboard for the baby room. Specifically, to put above the changing table for quick access to all the necessities – diapers, wipes, powders, lotions, help button, and clothes. My wife saw the idea somewhere and together we made our own.

Directions:
1. Make the frame using the 1×2’s. The pieces should be cut to make a rectangular frame the same size as the pegboard. Shown in the image below are the left and right frames in place. To attach them, drill into the sheetrock and place the sheetrock anchors in the wall, then place the frame over the anchors and drill the 1 1/2″ wood screws through the frame into the anchors. Note: this requires a lot of measuring and lining up, and actually took more time than anything else.
2. Make sure you paint the edges of the frame first to match the design of the pegboard!
3. Draw a sketch to get an idea of what you want it to look like, design and hardware included. MS Paint works great for this.
